About Leanne J. Sotir, PhD

Dr. Sotir founded Whole Health and Nutrition after recovering from a mystery illness that consisted of many debilitating symptoms. Her long journey with traditional medicine was disappointing, and left her feeling alone and desperate. This empowered her to educate herself and take charge of her own self-healing. She is now fully recovered and passionate about sharing what she has learned about nutrition and natural health with others. Read Dr. Sotir's personal story of healing.

Dr. Sotir’s experience and knowledge in the field of nutrition and natural health spans over ten years. She holds a B.S, M.S., and Doctorate in Holistic Nutrition. She also is trained in herbal medicine and has completed an extensive herbal apprenticeship.

She is a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. She also holds a professional practitioner membership through the American Holistic Health Association.

Dr. Sotir’s dedication to research and education is apparent as she continues to supplement her education through continuing education classes as well as various seminars. She is currently authoring a self-help book for people suffering with immune system disorders. Her expertise and research are in the areas of Immune System Dysfunction, Digestive Disorders, Healthy Weight Management, Disease Prevention, and Unresolved Health Issues. Dr. Sotir resides in the beautiful seacoast town of Duxbury, Massachusetts with her husband, daughter and two dogs.

"I have suffered many years with a weight problem that I just could not resolve. My physician diagnosed with insulin resistance and I knew I had to make drastic changes to my diet and lifestyle, if I didn’t want to take medication for it.  Dr. Sotir educated me on how certain foods can affect my metabolism. I have made the necessary changes in my diet, and for the first time I am seeing changes in my weight. I also have more energy than ever. I am now close to my ideal weight and feel I have the knowledge to continue my healthy lifestyle. Thank you Dr. Sotir!"
